Blayne Soleymani-Pearson

for Washington County Commissioner District 2

I live in the Cedar Mill area with my wife, Nilofar, and our two children. Washington County has been our home for nearly 12 years, and I’m dedicated to making it a place where every family can thrive.

I currently serve as a domestic violence prosecutor, a role I am truly proud of because I get to fight for justice for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Before practicing law, I worked in the local real estate market, at Apple retail, and as a waiter. Working across these industries, I understand firsthand how hard it is for the average Washington County resident to make ends meet.

I earned my law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and completed my undergraduate studies at Portland State University. I am also a proud community college graduate, which shaped my belief in accessible education and opportunities for everyone.

When I’m not working, my family and I usually enjoy taking walks, visiting the zoo or the coast, and playing guitar poorly. I also enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy, catching up on TV, and learning Persian (Farsi); however, my 2-year-old is always quick to correct my grammar!

I want Washington County to feel like home for every family, a place where neighbors support each other and everyone can thrive. I’m committed to listening, learning, and working alongside our community to build a stronger Washington County together.

I am running for Washington County Commissioner because we need leaders who are brave enough to stand up and protect our residents. I am running because I want us to build a community where every person feels safe, valued, and proud to call Washington County their home. Together, we can create a Washington County we’re all proud to be part of.
