Affordability & Prosperity: Housing & Economic Stability
Washington County must ensure that every single individual has access to housing and work that allows them to thrive. Whether it’s renting or owning a home, residents should feel that affordability is reasonable.
For businesses, Washington County must continue to stimulate the economy and remain the economic engine of Oregon through strategic growth and intentional investments that will drive Washington County forward.
As a dad of two young kids and a renter, I know how expensive it is to simply exist. That is why I commit to ensuring everyone can live prosperously in Washington County.
True affordability also means removing red tape. My plan includes:
- Downpayment Assistance programs
- Emergency Rental and Mortgage Assistance
- Fast-track Housing Development

Community Safety: A System That Protects Us
Washington County residents deserve safety systems that work together to help everyone thrive. From mental health response to emergency management, including police, ambulance, and fire, we can ensure a coordinated system that meets the needs of our ever-growing community.
As a domestic violence prosecutor, I have seen exactly where our safety systems fail, and the consequences of those failures. I understand how the justice system works from the inside, and I am ready, on day one, to help build a justice system that cares for every resident of Washington County.
We need a coordinated system that protects victims and prevents harm before it escalates. My priorities are:
- Mental Health Response
- Victim Support
- True Rehabilitation and Community Reintegration

Transportation That Connects Us: Mobility for All
Washington County residents should be able to go from one part of town to another safely, whether they bike, walk, roll, or drive. As a father who has pushed a stroller through unincorporated neighborhoods with no sidewalks, I have also lived in this county without a car; I know how frustrating it can be to rely on walking and using public transportation in Washington County.
We cannot accept our current reality in which children are forced to bus to a nearby school because walking routes are too dangerous. We cannot accept that it takes someone 3 hours a day to get to and from work because our streets and public transportation infrastructure are insufficient. We should not require a car to live comfortably.
I will work with Metro, TriMet, and local cities to modernize our connections. We will focus on:
- Pedestrian Infrastructure
- Public Transportation Quality, Reach, and Frequency
- Climate Conscious Growth
Codifying Sanctuary Status at the city level.
I asked Beaverton City Council to go beyond symbolic sanctuary status and commit to real, enforceable policies that protect our community when constitutional rights are violated. These policies focus on accountability, transparency, and ensuring that every resident, regardless of background, can live without fear of unlawful enforcement or government overreach.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke out, and stood in solidarity. Community engagement matters, and collective action is essential for meaningful change. Together, we are working toward a safer, more just Beaverton where rights are not just acknowledged but actively protected.
